Rococo fan, 18th century 

Mixed-materials-objects require time-consuming and utmost careful conservation, especially after suffering water damage. The conservation of the fan required its unfolding after adjusting the object to specific temperature and humidity levels in order to carry out the necessary stabilization work on the parchment. Old repairs were processed in an integrated manner and broken rods were secured with internal metal pins. A custom-made display assembly was prepared in connection with fan’s future presentation to the public.
